the glue and wine are kicking in
drifting into a tin can of sleep
woken up abruptly
bright lights and cops screaming
we scatter like cockroaches
then we get caught
braking out onto to the fire escape
we are told to stand in line and show id's
my made up I'd is believable
they let me go
we are now 3 girls
fight over a warm grate from the building exhaust
we fall asleep huddled together
I talk to the owl
tells me everything is gonna be ok
dirty and broken dreams
of freedom from abuse and tyrany

sucking on ketchup packets
so exhausted
2 months of living like this
exhausted and delusional
we woke up and went to shopping malls
traded our cloths with new ones
Stole food from the super market
opened bread grabbed meat and cheese
filled a shopping cart full of food
then weaseled out
go in the cold and pan handle day and night
I would joke singing all my woes
a fistful of dollars
to get enough to go to the oi! shows
we put pcp in our milk one night
told all the nazi skins
that they where idiots
got beaten in the head and body with boots
left by the side of a snowbank to die
sneaky the old junky found me
took care of me
fed me
gave me pain killers for the pain
let me sleep for hours in his home
behind a dumpster
stood guard in the snow
taken under wing the musical community
got fed food and shelter
couch surfed where
any one would have me
learned real fast to keep running
started sleeping with one eye open
finally understood that Metallica song
I became careful with my words after the pcp trip
The word on the street was
dad and the cops where on my tail
got a job to the carnival and clysdale slay rides
I worked as a itailian sausage cooker in the day
then later I mucked the stalls at night
sleeping in horse stalls
hidden park bench's
summer was less awkward at night
always early enough to work
the sun coming out and all
salt and pepper song had come out
It was playing every 5 minutes
I still not did not understand
how baby's where made
I was a great con artist
it was time for me to go
as long as I kept going
I felt at home truly
The carnival was packing up
hand bag and the clothing on my person
that was the end of my carney days
Just shy of 12 yrs
